No-Gi variation with a right-foot entry, shown in six illustrated steps.

Technique overview

A (black) performs the throw, while B (grey) is the partner on whom the technique is demonstrated. Left and right refer to each participant’s anatomical sides. In this No-Gi variation, A wraps the right arm around B’s neck and controls B’s right upper arm just above the elbow with the left hand. The entry begins with the right foot; the left joins it as the turn is completed. By lowering and positioning the hips, A takes B’s weight directly above B’s centre of gravity and completes the throw through forward bending and rotation, remaining on the feet.

Rotation and descent to the mat take place between frames 05 and 06. This phase is described in step 06 but has no separate illustration.

The descriptions accompany this project’s illustrated sequence and are not a transcript of the video.
